Bryn & Justin
Engaged on Montgomery Street
Once or twice per year, I have the opportunity to work with someone from my past or that I have a close connection to. When Bryn & Justin got ahold of me, I quickly realized that not only did I know Bryn from high school, but have known Justin's father for a number of years as well. This made our first meeting more about catching up, rather than making sure I knew how to put batteries in my flash. As Justin's father is a seasoned photographer, Justin is naturally a seasoned subject! I know that most guys get pretty stressed out about an upcoming engagement session, as they're usually dragged there by their fiancé. However, Justin ended up being a willing and enthusiastic participant! Bryn & Justin both braved what looked like a cold dreary day in CNY for our session, and I am extremely pleased with the images that we captured throughout the duration of our session. In reality, that "dreary" day turned out to be the perfect day to show their love and excitement to get married this summer!
Christina & Mike
A Toasty Day at Green Lakes
I met up with Christina & Mike on the 28th of January at one of the best nature spots in CNY - We were definitely expecting to freeze, as shooting in January is typically like shooting at the North Pole. Much to our surprise, it was quite warm out, with some nice sun for the entire session. I was happy to get some snow to include a cool blue color in some of our shots! Throughout the shoot, I felt a bit bad throughout our session, because the trail was either solid ice, or slushy mud. Christina didn't care one bit - she kept on moving in her heels, and holding Mike up while she was at it.
Christina & Mike are planning on tying the knot this coming July at St. Helena's in Sherrill, and then party it up at the Radisson for the rest of the night. We're looking forward to a wonderful Sunday night with the future Mr. & Mrs. Deep!
Christine & Colin
A Glamorous Night at Hotel Syracuse
Christine & Colin planned the most amazing evening at Hotel Syracuse this past December. They both started their day in separate rooms of the bridal suite upstairs from the grand ballroom at Hotel Syracuse. This space was really a perfect location for everyone to spend the morning getting ready for the big day of celebrating with Christine & Colin.
Shortly after getting ready, the bridesmaids and groomsmen separately made their way to Assumption Church on North Salina Street. The inside of this church is usually extremely beautiful - however, this time of year is particularly pretty, as it is decorated for the holiday season. The festive ambiance made the inside off the church feel particularly warm and inviting for Christine & Colin's ceremony. Friar Nader Ata performed a wonderful ceremony for all of the guests and Christine & Colin sealed the deal with a kiss!
As we all know, winter in CNY Can be -23°, 50° & raining, or a perfect 26° with light flurries. We were fortunate enough to shoot their photos in downtown Syracuse in that "balmy" 26° weather! Even though it was so nice out, everyone was definitely ready to head up to the 10th floor of the Marriott to party with Christine & Colin!
Throughout the evening, Salt City Sound Machine spun some awesome tunes and kept the room rockin! Christine & Colin received number of kind toasts (and maybe a roast or two) from their wedding party, as well as a heartfelt speech from Christine's father. For a first time in my time as a photographer, Santa himself made an appearance towards the end of the reception. he surprised everyone with some gifts for the kids and candy for the "big kids". Santa joined everyone on the dance floor for some killer air guitar before wishing Christine & Colin a happy marriage, and all of the guests a Merry Christmas!

Breanna & Carl
Married at the Arrowhead Lodge in Brewerton
Breanna and Carl are such an awesome couple to work with. For their engagement session, we got to head up a mountain in the Catskills as well as stop in a few small towns for lunch and other photos throughout the day. It was definitely an amazing day trip last year.
Their wedding was definitely just as much fun as their engagement session, with the day beginning at the Double Tree Hotel on Carrier Circle, and most of the fun happening at Arrowhead Lodge in Brewerton. Pastor Mike Dunn performed a lighthearted ceremony for a couple that always has a smile on their faces. The first weekend in November ended up having nice enough weather that Breanna & Carl were able to have their ceremony out on the back patio of Arrowhead Lodge. Everyone moved inside to devour Limp Lizard's catered meal and party to the tunes spun by Jamin' Beats. Let me tell you, Breanna & Carl's guests didn't get off the dance floor for the rest of the night - they sure do like to party!

Molly & Joe
Married at the Thousand Islands Harbor Hotel
Molly & Joe, of the #MollyandJoeShow are a pretty awesome couple, I must admit! I got to meet up with them in December of 2016 to get to know each other and spend the afternoon together shooting their engagement session. From then on, I was definitely looking forward to their October wedding this year in Clayton.
Clayton was bustling the morning of their wedding, with thousands more people than are usually in town. As it turns out, the annual "Punkin Chunkin' festival was the same day! Screams and howls from onlookers as pumpkins were launched into the St. Lawrence River made for a very energetic start to the day.
When everyone was finally dressed & ready, all of the wedding party & guests made their way across town for the real attraction in Clayton - the marriage of Molly & Joe at St. Marys Church. Molly & Joe said their vows without too many tears, and all of us headed back to the 1000 Islands Harbor Hotel to celebrate! Molly & Joe threw a killer reception, and danced the night away and they absolutely started their marriage off on the right foot!
