Jillian & Theodore
Married at the Otesaga Hotel
Jillian and Theodore said their vows this February at the amazing Otesaga Hotel in Cooperstown. The best part about getting married during the winter in Cooperstown is being the ONLY people in the entire hotel. Jill & Ted were able to make use of each and every space in the hotel for their beautiful wedding day.
The day started with all of the girls getting ready in one of the board rooms on the first floor. Jill's hand made dress was hanging in the center of the room for the entire morning. Amazingly enough, her mother handmade the entire thing! The skirt was made from portions of Jill's mother's wedding dress, and the lace was from her Grandmother's! At the same time, Ted and the guys were upstairs, likely sleeping still! (I heard they had a late evening the night before!)... Once everyone was all ready to go, Jill and the girls walked down the aisle in the ballroom for a ceremony. Each of the wedding party members were active participants as they had the opportunity to share a reading with Jill & Ted's guests.
After they were pronounced man & wife, everyone moved to the main lobby, which served as a beautiful location for a few cocktails before dinner. Finally, everyone moved to their final location for the night, the grand ballroom on the other end of the resort. Jill & Ted's guests enjoyed a delicious plated dinner to fuel up for an evening of toasts and dancing.
As we all know, winter in upstate New York can be a bit unpredictable. However, I can not express my pleasure about how perfect the weather was for us on Jill & Ted's wedding day. The roads were clear and dry for everyone traveling in to Cooperstown. But later in the evening, the most perfect snow began to fall. This was fine with their guests, because for the most part they only had to go up a flight or two of stairs!
